Urban Nomads preview

Not finished ( as obvious) . The general idea is african inspired ,with some tribal and oriental influences, but the result hopes to be easy to wear and kinda mildly avant gardish. No idea what does that mean or if it even exists, well, if not , i invented it,lol!

Lots of leather is the key, not only in accessories but in clothes as well. Animal print and earthy fabrics, some touches of color sporadically.

SUMMERTIME!

I am working on a new collection with lots of leather , leather accessories and an ethnic flair.
This, i am feeling, is a never ending process, i work all the outfits at the same time, meaning that not one is completed yet.
In desperate need of a complete project, i decided to make a swimming suit line .
The above is the first one. There are many more to come. Only i do not know when!

As i was saying yesterday its all in the accessories. They can make or ruin an outfit. They are saying everything about the person who's wearing them. They can completely change the mood of an ensemble.

And a person's (or doll's ) mood too!  They correct the geometry of an appearance, add color, depth movement..Plus they are known and praised fetishes for many of us, dolls included!

Its been a while that i am making things for my dolls, and recently i started making things for sale.

It was not official until now, i was not sure whether i wanted to commit to that or not, and i had to prove it to myself first. I know it may not making much sense, but ...well it is so,lol!

I am ready now,so i made the big move:  i opened an etsy shop under the surprising name...dollsalive.

Currently it only has one outfit for sale but thats a start,no?  There are many more ready, waiting to be photographed and uploaded. 

A great drawback to the whole decision was my ...market positioning. What i like more to make are the leather things. Shoes, bags, belts, leather jewelry, hats and more. But some of them i could only imagine with the right outfits. So i had to make those too.

 I couldn't  figure out if they had to be presented as a collection with a common theme or as many unique and irrelevant sets. And how? all together or one at a time? and where? ebay in auctions or etsy in fixed prices?

Phew!!!  too many decisions and too little progress!

Since i am not the most disciplined person , i find it much more relieving working on whatever comes to my mind. So the collection option was kinda off...

And since i already have an etsy shop selling jewelry (for humans!) it was easier to start there.

I only figured that out yesterday  after weeks and weeks of psycological torture!
